The first minor warning sign of New England Patriots training camp 2026 has been illuminated. It is hardly a call for panic but ESPN's Mike Reiss noted on "X," late Friday afternoon that the team had brought in a pair of free agent defensive backs, Eric Butler and Tysheem Johnson, for tryouts. While this practice is commonplace from training camp through the regular season, the fact that a pair of defensive backs were in make the visits extremely timely.
