"Cryptocurrency kiosks or ATMS are like a getaway car that scammers use to drive away with your cash," said AARP Hawaii President Grant Chun. That's a vivid way of looking at scams using digital currency - which are proliferating, and hitting kupuna particularly hard. Last year, Hawaii seniors lost more than $55 million to online scams - fake investments and cryptocurrency schemes account for their biggest online losses.
